Tat Chee, earlier you wrote your tuner is TCL2002BM-1 and you usw LG_PAL_NEW_TAPC(tuner=37).
(can you re-check if it reads "...MB" or really "...BM"?)
Do you have the optional remote control (e.g. LVA001 microcontroller above saa713x)?

My FV3K (w/FM w/IR Tuner:TCL2002MB-1F) has:
saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.1.5 loaded
saa7134[0]: found at 00:11.0, rev: 1, irq: 5, latency: 32, mmio: 0xe4000000
saa7134[0]: subsystem: 1131:0000, board: LifeView FlyVIDEO3000
saa7134 initial gpio_mode = 00000000
saa7134: initial gpio_state = 00031000
Here PHILIPS_PAL(tuner=5) works fine.

So it seems these TCL2002MB tuners come in different flavours.

Gerd, can you apply the GPIO printk patch ?
I modified Tat Chee's patch to unconditionally print the info, we can make
this silent (i.e. dprintk) later, when we have enough data !

Robert, you reported you have a FV3000 and use tuner=37. Can you apply this patch,
as I would be very interested in your GPIO (and wether you have FM and remote control chip).

I have had a look at the hardware of my card, the PCB is labelled LA158 Rev C. It has a TCL2002(S?)MB-1 tuner (I thought it said had S in there when I looked, but reading your emails has confused me....). I have remote control and the chip LVA001 (but I haven't actually got it working yet - is it supported or is there tricks I have to do?).

I also have the HEF-4052BT chip. I do not have FM, and there is a footprint on the board for the chips SBX1673 or SBX1637, but this is not populated.

My modprobe suffers from the same problem as Tat Chee, Mar 24 21:33:52 phobos kernel: saa7134[0]: i2c eeprom read error #1 rc=-5
#modprobe tuner type=37
#modprobe saa7134

gives the following in dmesg:

i2c-core.o: driver i2c TV tuner driver registered.
saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.1.4 loaded
PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 02:03.0

saa7134[0]: registered device radio0
saa7134[0]: registered device dsp4
saa7134[0]: registered device mixer2

I am a bit confused with the state of all the patches that we've thrown around the list lately, what is the recommended combination?

Robert

Marco, your data would be valuable, too.
