Linux Media Labs have a product based on the W99200, the LML1011. They have
a driver for the it on their website www.linuxmedialabs.com . It isn't a
V4L driver but should give you enough to get something working. I believe
their card uses the Philips SAA7113 video decoder chip and does not have a
tuner. Other designs may differ, we produce a PC104+ card with a W99200 and
a SAA7114 (we don't use this driver though).

The former. I have gathered all the necessary datasheets, assembled a
dedicated
machine for it (I want to build a multi-channel DVR). But due to work
commitments,
I don't have time to work on it for at least the next 3 months.
If you are interested, I can forward you all the datasheets I have for W99200.
The only datasheets I am lacking are those for the tuner and remote.
Lemme know.

Is it that you just haven't found the time to work on it or have you been
struggling with the beast?

Did you get this board to work?

Hi,
I recently bought a MPEG-1 encoder/tuner card based on the Winbond W99200
chipset. (http://www.winbond.com.tw). The card is the 3Demon PV-233
(http://www.provideo.com.tw/) , though I think there are also similar
cards based on the same design eg. MediaForte's PCI MPEG-1 video/audio
tuner card (http://www.mediaforte.nl/shop/eur/index.html)
I am planning to work on getting the card to work with Linux/V4L2. Does
anyone else have advice/ information/resources to share regarding this?
It will be most appreciated.
Thank you, and best regards.
