Hi,

I am running xawtv for a USB quickcam, the v4l-conf had the following message
(error??):

$ ./v4l-conf
v4l-conf: using X11 display :0
dga: version 2.0
mode: 1400x1050, depth=24, bpp=32, bpl=5632, base=0xe8000000
/dev/video0 [v4l2]: ioctl VIDIOC_QUERYCAP: Invalid argument
/dev/video0 [v4l]: no overlay support

Running xawtv, it displayed a very blur picture and the following messages:

$ ./xawtv -v
This is xawtv-/home/yudehu/dev/XawTV/3.64, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.2-2)
/dev/video0 [v4l]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
station "-v" not found
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,fmt=5,size=176x144): Invalid argument
v4l: timeout (got SIGALRM), hardware/driver problems?
ioctl: VIDIOCSYNC(0): Interrupted system call
v4l: timeout (got SIGALRM), hardware/driver problems?
ioctl: VIDIOCSYNC(1): Interrupted system call

What was wrong with it? Can I run the xawtv without capture card (hardware
overlay)?

Thank you.
