No, both cards definitely have a Kfir1.
I am not aware of any cards using the Kfir2 yet.
Too bad since it was supposed to support AC3 encoding and the Kfir2A even
MPEG2/AC3 decoding on the same chip.
The chips also would not be downwards compatible. The Kfir2 has
everything (Kfir1+PCI bridge+MPEG sound encoder) integrated into one chip.

Well, there is additional "fun" involved because there is an Altera
chip between the Bt878 and the Kfir. So, the wiring depends on the 
firmware of the Altera.

Hmm, are there free diassemblers for the Altera chips?
If you want to disassemble the Kfir code you will of course also have
to figure out their command set.

If you want a parallel DVB interface (which is on the BMK card)
you might prefer that card. But I don't know if this works with our
drivers (no hardware to test it with ...).
