xawtv is misbehaving
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hello, all.
I have a Kensington camera which uses the se401 module. xawtv is not
working with it. I know it is working correctly, because it works with
another video viewer, called gqcam. Ok, this is what happens: when I
start up xawtv, I get a bizarre messed up picture that looks like three
stretched pictures side by side, only the colour is all wrong and there
are horizontal yellowish lines through it. When I resize the window, I
get a normal image, but the motion stops. Also, xawtv responds
intolerably slowly. I believe my machine is fast enough, as I used to
have an older one runnig xawtv with a bttv card and the very same video
card and that worked fine. (I am running this on slackware 8.0, with
Linux 2.4.14, se401 module, xawtv is the newest version, I can't recall
the number) Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Adrian.
