Hi, I have a WinTV GO card which works without any problems with bttv2, but when I load a bttv 0.7.x or 0.8.x I don't get any sound out of that card. The picture is there, I also tried to unmute and control the volume settings without any success. (Of course there's a cable between the line-out of the wintv and line-in of the soundcard) I found some threads about the "no sound problem" when searching the archives, but found no solution so far. As the WinTV Go is a quite popular card I think it is already supported, so the error sits in front of the monitor ;) (RTFMs appreciated) Some info: Kernel: 2.4.13-ac6 (v4l2 and videodevX) Audio: kernel oss drivers (mad16) ___ eeprom -x PCI Vendor ID: 0x0070, Subsystem ID: 0x13eb Decoding Hauppauge EEPROM: Model : 44004 Revision : B129 Serial : 2233242 Tuner : Temic 4006FH5 Tuner Formats: PAL(B/G) Audio : None Audio Outputs: BackPanel Decoder : BT878 Video Formats: NTSC(M) PAL(BGHIDK) SECAM(L/L´) PAL(M) PAL(N) NTSC(443) PAL(NCOMBO) Videotext : Yes (Software) Radio : no Infrared : no Checksum : 79 [OK] EEPROM: 84 12 00 00 05 50 0e 7f 04 1d 01 e4 ab 99 14 89 00 00 00 00 00 84 0a 00 01 01 20 77 00 40 9a 13 22 00 74 02 01 00 02 79 79 ___ lsmod (with non-working bttv 0.7/0.8) Module Size Used by Tainted: P tuner 4484 1 (autoclean) tvaudio 8000 0 (autoclean) (unused) bttv 70976 0 (autoclean) (unused) video-mm 2180 0 (autoclean) [bttv] i2c-algo-bit 6956 1 (autoclean) [bttv] videodev1.o.old 5504 2 (autoclean) [bttv] v4l2-common 4664 0 (autoclean) [bttv] i2c-dev 3488 0 (autoclean) i2c-core 12736 0 (autoclean) [tuner tvaudio bttv i2c-algo-bit i2c-dev] mad16 7360 0 (autoclean) ad1848 16352 0 (autoclean) [mad16] uart401 6048 0 (autoclean) [mad16] sound 52652 0 (autoclean) [mad16 ad1848 uart401] soundcore 3460 5 (autoclean) [sound] rtc 5240 1 (autoclean) ___ syslog messages: kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: i2c bit algorithm module version 2.6.1 (20010830) kernel: bttv: driver version 0.8.30 loaded [v4l/v4l2] kernel: bttv: using 32 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture kernel: bttv: Host bridge is VIA Technologies, Inc. Thanks in advance, Dirk
