Hi.. I recently got cardexpert gainward Geforce2 Twin VIVO. So far I am very please with this video card, outputing the screen to the big television. =) I did not really care about the video in until now. Instead of using video I want to try to use my linux box to record what is showing on the television. So I tried to connect my video in to the video and tried. Although I could not find any information about this particular card on linux sites looked like that v4l would work so.. I compiled V4L and I2C and BTTV as a module from the kernel (2.4.10). It seems to load v4l, but when I try to use BTTV module would not load giving me , /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o: init_module: No such devi ce Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including inva lid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.1 0/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o: insmod bttv failed And from dmesg here are some logs may be in interest... i2c-core.o: i2c core module i2c-dev.o: i2c /dev entries driver module i2c-core.o: driver i2c-dev dummy driver registered. Does any one know how I can enable this video in?? I wish I know what chipset it has but I could not find the encoder chipset is... =P My computer has Abit BP6 motherboard with dual 533MHZ Cardex Gainward GeForce2 Twin ViVo Redhat 7.0 with kernel 2.4.10 XFree86 4.1.0 Nvidia drivers 1540 and others.... I am clueless where to find any info. I thought this place should be a great place. =) Thanks in advance.. =) Good luck to you. Bye.
