I'm running Debian Linux with kernel 2.4.9, and I have a Voodoo 3 3500 TV card. I can't seem to get bttv to work. I can 'insmod videodev' fine, but then when I do a 'modprobe bttv card=3', I get the following error: --snip-- /lib/modules/2.4.9/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.9/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.9/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.9/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o: insmod bttv failed --snip-- and the following gets posted in /var/log/messages: --snip-- Sep 8 13:53:46 host115 kernel: i2c-core.o: i2c core module Sep 8 13:53:46 host115 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: i2c bit algorithm module Sep 8 13:53:46 host115 kernel: bttv: driver version 0.7.72 loaded Sep 8 13:53:46 host115 kernel: bttv: using 2 buffers with 2080k (4160k total) for capture Sep 8 13:53:46 host115 kernel: bttv: Host bridge needs ETBF enabled. --snip-- I've just about gone crazy trying to figure out how to make this work, and it's a major bummer to have to boot into windows to watch tv... :) Any help y'all could give would be greatly appreciated. -- Anthony "Vito" DeSalvatore AIM: HawkeyeV81 Email: vito@xxxxxxx ICQ: 53580913 "Do you know anything about nuclear fusion?" -- Lee Van Cleef, Escape From New York
