It maybe won't help you in memory management, DMA and IRQ issues of the newer kernels. But at least you can learn fundamental things - and some update stuff at oreilly.com is available. I read somewhere that Alessandro plans a new version 2 of his book - also not as paperware (open source?). But I have never seen in up to now. There is also the kernel hacking guide etc. - look at the LDP (linux documentation project) and the howtos. Bye, Wolfgang
