Re: No audio from WinTV-PVR-pci card

Hi

I have a Hauppauge Theater PCI WinTV card installed.
It has two msp34xx sound chips on it.
I also use the emu10k1 module which comes with a standard kernel.
I don't know if I am going to be much help.
What I have found is that if I change out a card e.g I added a SCSI card that the sound stopped working on the TV card.
It has happened on a few occasions now.
I have to shuffle the cards around between slots before it works.
Sometimes I have had to try a couple of different positions.
Something to do with shared PCI memory (I think).
Have you checked to make sure your line in to your sound card is enabled in your mixer?
Have you loaded the correct card number in your /etc/modules.conf file ?
card=10.

Hello,

I have the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-pci card installed. I'm getting all the
TV channels from cable. However, I get no audio! I have the latest bttv code and am using the emu10k1 audio module for the Creative SB card. Audio is fine for everything but the WinTV. The audio chip on the Hauppauge card is
MSP3435G. I've loaded msp34xx, btaudio, tvaudio and fooled around with
various options to bttv. All to no avail, still no audio.

I use xawtv to watch TV. Any suggestions, tips? There is no audio from the WinTV audio out jack. This jack is also connected to the line in jack of the audio card. With GMIX, I turn everything on, but still no audio from WinTV.
What am I missing or doing wrong?

Thanks.
