setting video input with v4l2

Hi,

I cannot change the video input with

    ...
    err = ioctl (pcapt_d->fd_video, VIDIOC_S_INPUT, &input);
    ...

to another source. I used the Sample code from

   http://www.thedirks.org/v4l2/

after I patched the 2.2.18 kernel with videodev20010126.tgz and installed
the Driver driver-20010112.tgz.

My grabber is an EAGLE from IDS Imaging (www.ids-imaging.de) with 4 SVHS inputs
(composite). The chip-set is a BT848 and no tuner is onboard.

Only the 4th input port is working, independently of which input I have chosen
with VIDIOC_S_INPUT. If I plug my camera in another port I get a blue/black
screen. With the old BTTV one drivers and videodev the channel switching worked
good.

Thanks in advance for help
