It can be done, but note, you could damage both the DC10 and the
Hauppauge
in the process.
A selecion of datasheets for tuners can be found on my site

Feel free to read the specs and decide for yourself what to do.

However the best option is to get a cheap VCR and use that for the
tuning
and plug the output of the VCR (using a SCART to composite cable)
into your DC10.
