Yup. Athlon XP 2k+ capturing full D1 Pal to HuffYUV runs 25-30%

Yup again. I'm currently using ffv1rec from the avidemux project

Using a vcr and feeding its composite signal rather than the native local
tuner so I get a very strong signal.

Typically get 1 frame a minute drop, which is ok for basic work, but no
good for some professional use I'm aiming for. Same hardware under windows
gives no frame drops.

Hard drive is raid 0 on a promise controler using the fast track driver.
