The card I have here is not supported by the driver in 2.8.0 or in the snapshots. I tried both a 2.6.0-test kernel and a patched 2.4.22 kernel. I've seen some image on screen when I used different card= options, but never for long, and soon after it would freeze my system so I had to hard-reset; I only had some image when using xawtv and used the composite2 input. ( there is only one composite but xawtv gives 2) tvtuner has never worked for me. I cannot reproduce this behaviour anymore ( wich is quite puzzling...); screen just stays black. xawtv tells me: ioctl: VIDIOCSYNC(0): Input/output error ( multiple times) no way to get: 384x288 32 bit TrueColor (LE: bgr-) ( this after I quit xawtv) Anyways, behaviour could be considered flaky, dangerous, unstable or not working at all. I read add-new-cars.txt but I'm afraid I don't know enough about editing source files myself to fix anything. The card is labelled as "V-Gear" I think that http://v-gear.tv is their website ( also written on the card.) I believe it's corean or japanese; I don't know where it's from, but it wasn't purchased in holland. Can anyone tell me whether there's any chance this card will be supported in the future? Bye!
