Unresolved symbols with vanilla kernel 2.4.22 and saa7134 snapshot from 20031016

The v4l2 patch has been applied to the kernel sources (with some fuzz -is this normal?). When attempting to insmod the saa7134 module, I getthe following errors:

/lib/modules/2.4.22/v4l2/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol video_device_alloc

/lib/modules/2.4.22/v4l2/saa7134.o: insmod/lib/modules/2.4.22/v4l2/saa7134.o failed

/lib/modules/2.4.22/v4l2/saa7134.o: insmod saa7134 failed


Any pointers as to what I'm missing?
