Dear Tuukka:

Thanks your point out, I follow your link to download 2 files
linux-2.4.20-videodevfix.patch
qc-usb-0.5.1.tar.gz
but I wonder whether I untar it or how to patch it,

  (1) my webcam is BTC not quick cam of logitech
  (2) my kernel source directory structure is

  cd /usr/src
[root@localhost src]# ls
debug linux-2.4 linux-2.4.20-20.9 redhat
[root@localhost src]# cd linux-2.4
[root@localhost linux-2.4]# ls
arch Documentation kernel README
configs drivers lib REPORTING-BUGS
COPYING fs MAINTAINERS Rules.make
COPYING.modules include Makefile scripts
CREDITS init mm tmp_include_depends
crypto ipc net
[root@localhost linux-2.4]#
-------------------------------- I wonder where to modify or unpatch

hope to see more detail and complete information to fix it

highly appreciate your time and help, thanks in advance, sincerely eric
