are you asking for a recommendation on a *card* or on software that does
this type of thing?

You can make a video "server" out of MythTV  (www.mythTV.org) ... you can
have multiple clients running the frontend ... a "backend" in the basement.
You didn't specify whether you wanted to watch "TV" from the server, too?
There is no theoretical limit to how many TV capture cards you could have,
but you are limited by the system resources.  Therefore, most people agree
that you can have two cards in.

Theres also no theoretical reason why you couldn't do the stream over a
satelite IP link.  However, with any system, you would need enough bandwidth
to actually send the data fast enough.  What kind of bandwidth are you
talking about here?
