I have RH 9 on a PIII-500 w/ a Radeon 7000 and a I/O magic DR-pvr100

bttv module and v4l2 to load.

I run xawtv and I get all static. I am able to change frequency, but
how do I know when I get to an actual channel? How am I supposed to
match up megahertz w/ say channel 3 on my cable tv. I am in the US.
Also do I want PAL or NTSC? I set to NTSC originally since that is what
I've seen laptops use or spec`ed for to connect to a tv for presentations.

Thought of some other stuff. I get really low sound out of the speakers and it is mostly static. This just fixed itself when I raised the mixer volume and adjusted the line in.

The bad bar of static at the bottom of the screen comes and goes. I did figure out that some channels I saved in the editor are in PAL. If I change to NTSC I can get a better picture. I also have to move the window just a little to get xawtv to update the settings (pal - ntsc) change and the bar goes away.

How do I get the scantv program to work. It is mentioned in the Xawtv man page, but I get a command not found. How do I do a full scan of all channels?
