rapidly switching source with Pinnacle PCTV (BT878)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hello and good day,

I am trying to rapidly switch video sources (via
serial port control, not by the tuner) and capture at
least one good frame at resolutions up to 704x576 with
a Pinnacle PCTV. I am currently using kernel
2.4.20-pre8 and bttv version 0.7.102. At the moment I
have gbuffers=2, am reading YUV420P frames via mmap,
and really only get reliable results at 200ms and
beyond (as another participant pointed out..)

Is this really the fastest rate possible?

sincerely,
dI77IHd
