xawtv & xv scaling

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Quote from xawtv README.xfree4 :
"Starting with XFree86 4.0.1 the Xvideo extension supports hardware-scaled
video, i.e. the video isn't written directly to the visible area of the video
memory. Instead the bt848 hardware writes yuv data to offscreen memory."

My problem is the initial size of the output from the bt878.
Is there any way (config parameters for xawtv) to force the initial grabbing
at 768x576, so by scaling the image, the result quality to be better ?
Now, the initial size seems to be around 640x480 and by scaling it to
1024x768 the resulted image is not very good.
