Re: A proposal - a step forward with the saa7134 problem

Hi,

Yeah, I was remembering this discussion as Stane first mentioned it a couple of days ago. I went through and trimmed out a few of the original responses that were used when putting this table together:

--------------------------------------------
Robert (me):
Yes, my Flyvideo 3000 card includes FM tuner and Remote control:
(aa7134hl, hef4052bt, lva001, pll24, pll4, Tuner: TCL2002MB-1F)

I have had a look at the hardware of my card, the PCB is labelled LA158 Rev C. It has a TCL2002(S?)MB-1 tuner (I thought it said had S in there when I looked, but reading your emails has confused me....). I have remote control and the chip LVA001 (but I haven't actually got it working yet - is it supported or is there tricks I have to do?).

I also have the HEF-4052BT chip. I do not have FM, and there is a footprint on the board for the chips SBX1673 or SBX1637, but this is not populated.

--------------------------------------------
Gunther:
My FV3K (w/FM w/IR Tuner:TCL2002MB-1F) has:
saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.1.5 loaded
saa7134[0]: found at 00:11.0, rev: 1, irq: 5, latency: 32, mmio: 0xe4000000
saa7134[0]: subsystem: 1131:0000, board: LifeView FlyVIDEO3000
saa7134 initial gpio_mode = 00000000
saa7134: initial gpio_state = 00031000
Here PHILIPS_PAL(tuner=5) works fine.

TC:

Phillips SAA7130 based, mono audio decoding only, no FM radio option.
Audio out fed into the Soundcard (SBLive 128) Audio Input jack.

The PCB has version LR 138 Rev. C

Tuner block: PAL B/G standard, containing
Phillips TDA9800T
Phillips TDA6503AT
(I opened the metal shield casing to check this)

Other additional ICs (on PCI board):
Phillips HEF4052BT C5917ME (16 pin)
<Unknown> LVA001 0028GC41 (18 pin)

Output from lspci -vv for the card:

I found this file which I've compiled during the time I was tearing my
hair out with the FV2K. Maybe it'll be the basis for a template.
(I forgot about it until someone asked about the FV2K+FM issue).

My hope is that it will become a step forward to working out what the

Please let me know if my idea sounds useful, and if you'd like to help.
Suggestions for info to be mentioned in the survey is welcome.

Gunther, Robert, et al,

This is a summary of the different FlyVideo specs discussed so far. I don't think the remote option affects the normal operation, so I've ignored it in the specs for now.
Blanks indicate missing info. Please post corrections as necessary.

I have the LVA001 IC, but I don't have the remote control. It doesn't have any manufacturer markings.

I have unpopulated IC pads on my FV2K board for QFP-style ICs.

I consistently get a "eeprom read error #1 rc=-5", this is normal as FlyVideo is being cheap
and not including an EEPROM on board.
