I can't see any tuner-chip at the card, but I have only got the tuner to work with tuner=33: "MT2032 universal", although I haven't tried all. I actually got this tuner autodetected with some version of bttv, but in the newest version, it detects 14:"Temic PAL_BG (4006FH5)", which doesn't work at all.

??? according to the logs below the card got detected correctly and it
should have worked without the tuner insmod option too.

No. I think it detected it correctly (tuner=33) with the modules from 2.4.19-kernel, but after I upgraded to the -100-version, it detects tuner=14, like the log below here when not specifying a tuner.

When I try listening to radio, I beleve I the first time after loading the drivers get 1/4 of a second of radio sound, but after that, I hear just noise. Changing the frequency only gives a click.

Will check next week ...

OK. Thanks.

I tried the detect-program in bttv-source, but then geth this is syslog:
"i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 40002: I2C level transfers not supported"

There are multiple i2c busses in your system, you have to pick the right
i2c character device ...

OK. Then I got this:
-------
marius:/usr/src/bttv-0.7.100/tools# ./detect -d /dev/i2c-2
0x80: msp34xx/tea6300 sound processor (error: Device or resource busy)
0x86: TDA9885/TDA9886/TDA9887 tv and sound demodulator (error: Device or resource busy)
0xa0: eeprom (bt878, Hauppauge-848) (error: Device or resource busy)
0xa2: ??? (error: Device or resource busy)
0xa4: ??? (error: Device or resource busy)
0xa6: ??? (error: Device or resource busy)
0xc0: tuner (error: Device or resource busy)
-----
Not anything new there...

But I can't get the eeprom to work:

marius:/usr/src/bttv-0.7.100/tools# ./eeprom -d /dev/i2c-2
write addr /dev/i2c-2: Remote I/O error

 Gerd

BTW, is there any SF-page or CVS for the bttv-driver?
