AVerMedia AVerTV Stereo: bad reception

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have an AVerMedia AVerTV Stereo card, which looks just like the
M168T+NE41S in the gallery, hooked up to a us-cable line. It is
autodetected as card=13 by bttv-0.7.97, but the default tuner=2 only gets
me two stations. Many of the other settings, including tuner=1 and
tuner=3, get me indistinguishable results: every channel I expect to get.
My problem is that most of the channels have rather poor reception,
especially compared to the very good reception in Windows XP with
AVerMedia's driver. The best reception in Linux is about as good as the
worst reception in XP. I would be glad to do whatever reporting or
debugging is necessary to improve the reception. Hopefully this is a good
start:
