Did you try with some more advanced saa7134 options in modules.conf?
I mean  dsp_nr, mixer_nr and oss_rate and card= tuner=.
I know it is readhat... list, but maybe other dist would be more skillful?
They say, that some redhat gcc versions compiles with bugs.
