This means there is an error on communicating with mt2032 returned from i2c-core:
  Aug 29 01:25:29 guarddog kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: bt848 #0 i2c_write: error - bailout.

However the lines about hexdump and xogc show mt2032 communicates perfect there.

Something happened between, try disabling this routine in the source:
 miro_pinnacle_gpio

Try loading with paramter "bttv_gpio=1" to see if some gpio lines are
changed between.
