What distro are you using? You should make sure you have the latest
modutils, binutils (check the saa7134 page for requirements) on your
system.

Did you reboot to the new kernel before trying to make the saa7134 module?
This is important.

Try with version 0.1.7 first. The latest version supports other cards, so
if 0.1.7 compiles, then you can try to solve the problems with this
compilation.
