Hi Everybody,
As I am trying to get my TVmax card to work in Linux,
here's a list of chips that I have on it:
Philips TSA 5512T (1.3GHz I2C bus controlled
synthesizer)
Philips TDA 9800T (VIF-PLL demodulator)
Philips TDA 5737M (Mixer/oscillator VHF/UHF)
It also has two quartz crystals on board, as it
supports both PAL and NTSC.
I can capture video using the composite input, but I
can't get the tuner to work. In my previous message I
was after the insmod options for this setup, but it
looks that I need to find out whether the drivers
support my chips. I did rtfm but I couldn't find any
references for my chips.
All I know so far is that I tried card=15 for bttv.o
and the Philips NTSC option for tuner.o
unsuccessfully.
Can't get the darn' tuner to work. Furthermore, xatw
locks up the machine with these tuner settings.
FYI: Mandrake 8.1, kernel 2.4.8
Thank for any info.
Merry Christmas.
