upgrading to v4l2...

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hi,

My current system setup is linux7.1, kernel ver 2.4.2,
bttv driver ver 7.57, using Flyvideo II for capture of video.
I want to upgrade to v4l2 api, so that video frame timestamping
can be used to detect frame skips.

I intend to download the latest kernel sources, 2.4.14 from the
kernel archives and use it.
Do I have to apply all the patches, given in the bytesex.org/bttv
site for this version also? Is there a version of the kernel that
has the patches required for new bttv and v4l2 interface built in it?

Thanks in advance,
Thenmozhi
