WinTV Black under Redhat 7.1

Hi,

I've installed a bttv based winTV card under RH7.1 as /dev/video0. All seems
well (messages in the log file indicate everything is OK) and the radio is
working. When I use xawtv however the screen is black (xawtv reports no errors).
Under some code we've written here I can open the device, query it's properties
OK (they seem sensible) and set it up for channel 2 (s-video input). Querying
image size even gives sensible results. The problem is (again) when reading
from the card (using read()) the image is black. The card works fine under
windows2000.

My graphics card is an ATI rage 128 pro ... I've tried disabling the DRI as
suggested in the xawtv README but still the same results. Any ideas greatly
appreciated.

Many thanks

Derek Magee
