Creative Webcam 3

I have a creative webcam 3 usb,
the problem is that every image y capture is a complete mess.
the photos aren't more tha shadows and stripes...

i use Redhat 7.1 and use xsane to get images, any idea??

i need a program to automatically get photos so i can use the cam as a
webcam...
