An update to my question

I tired plugging in the remote and nothing happened.
I did modprobed tvaudio and i did get expected dmesg result.

This seems to be part of the problem..

Notice the I/O errors? Those happens when i change channels. Seems the sound 
chip is still confused!

Anyone with more ideas?
