In fact, here is is a problem. See my mail to this list (25 Aug 2001),
Subject: " bttv-0.7.76 irq 9 problems".

Excerpt:
This is on a shared IRQ9, so I just varied modules loaded:
- IRQ 9: bttv only       -> Doesn't work.
- IRQ 9: bttv, usb-uhci   -> Doesn't work.
- IRQ 9: bttv, sym53c8xx: - > Works perfect !!!
