Problem with setting format. Please Help.

Hi !
        I installed V4L2  as a module in my kernel
long back.I seem to have some problem with setting
video 
format as V4L2_PIX_FMT_RGB24.It says invalid format .
It works for V4L2_PIX_FMT_BGR24. Can utell 
me whats the problem???.I am doing this with sample
application called vctrl provided with the package.
