why can't I use two video boards together???

Hi,

I installed two video boards in my PC. My test application is now able to open /dev/video0 and displaying the data on the screen. The same for /dev/video1, it also works well.
But when I tried to open both video transfers at the same time it failed. Is there a reason why I can't use two video inputs together?
