typhoon tview sound

Hello everybody,

I'm new to the list. Is there any archive of the list available?

I recently bought a Anubis Typhoon Tview TV Board
with bt878, mono sound, Philips PAL Tuner and without radio.
It works fine under win.

I use bttv version 0.7.69 with kernel 2.2.19 and i2c 2.6.0.
Using xawtv, video works very fine, but sound doesn't at all.
I'm not sure, what the right type of the card is. I tried 24, 36 and 38,
but the problem remained. On anubis' web-site is only one hint to use
bttv und linux, but no configuration info. They have different drivers
for cards with the same name, but with 8-digit, 10-digit or 12-digit
serial numbers. Mine has a 12-digit number. I can't see any separate
sound-chip on the board, there are only two small chips, a VRD866*
and a 40528T. The names may be a bit different, they are really hard to
read. But, reading all docs in bttv source tree, I think, these chips
aren't related to sound.

When I configure bttv with card=24 it writes to syslog, that it needs
module tvaudio, which is loaded and says, that it supports chipsets
tda9840,tda9873h,tda9850,tda9855,tea6300,tea6420,tda8425,pic16c54
(PV951).

Here is my current modules.conf:

options i2c verbose=1 scan=1
options tuner debug=1 type=5
options bttv radio=0 card=24 bttv_debug=1

Any hints?
