.xinitrc lives in your home directory.

There are multiple ways to change window managers.  RTFM.

> man -k .xinitrc

> man -k kde |more

http://www.enlightenment.org/pages/info.html

Among others...

This probably isn't the appropriate list for this.  Try some of the XFree
lists as well as the lists for your specific window manager...
