Do you say the asus card(s) work with the Mandrake >Distribution kernels and that driver version? >Greetings >Hermann Well, As far as I know (and I should know - because I use it :), Mandrake distribution kernels 2.4.21 and 2.4.22 are allready patched well to support v4l1 and v4l2 (comes with bttv (v4l), bttv9(v4l2), saa7134(v4l2)...). I have tried them all with xawtv, and programming some software of mine. The problem in 2.4.21 distrubition kernel (As I recall it was 2.4.21-13mdk in 9.1) was the lack of v4l2 bttv module (bttv9). About the Asus card, it is not recognized, but if you cheat the module with the card=8 option (Terratec Cinergy 400 TV) it works fine... My current kernel is (updated) distribution kernel 2.4.22-21mdk, but the previous (original 9.2) release 2.4.22.10mdk was good also concerning the v4l and v4l2 support. If you need really detailed info, please let me know ! Regards, Dragan Toroman
