The new MT2050 patch for bttv-0.7.109

First of all, thank you for working on the MT2050 driver. I have been
in contact with both Pinnacle and Microtune, trying to get the
programming specification for the MT2050 and I know how impossible it
is to get information from them, so thanks for your work.

After applying the patch and recompiling the modules my tuner seems to
be correctly identified as a MT2050 but i don't seem to be able to tune
in to any channels.

I live in Northen Europe (PAL) and have tried with the Western Europe
channel table.

I've also tried to scan all availible frequencies (with tvtime-scanner),
but to no avail.

When loading the tuner module with debug=1 i get the following log
messages when trying to change to channel E8 (which i know has a
tv-channel on it)

Dec 2 13:01:19 montana kernel: tuner: tv freq set to 196.25
Dec 2 13:01:19 montana kernel: mt2050_set_if_freq freq=196250000
Dec 2 13:01:19 montana kernel: lo1 lo2 = 353 294
Dec 2 13:01:19 montana kernel: num1 num2 div1a div1b div2a div2b= 2 b66 1c 5 23 6
Dec 2 13:01:19 montana kernel: bufs is: 1 96 1c cb 66 63

Seems to me that the tuner driver is trying to set the correct
frequency, but I get neither picture nor sound.

Another strange thing is that when finetuning i sometimes get flickers
of a picture, but those flicker always disappear after some millisecond.

Thanks for your time
/Daniel
