Hello
I have an osprey 100 that works well I can view video on xawtv as well
as capture using various programs. What my problem seems to be is that
I have a large black border around the video (input is from a VCR). I
would like to not see that. I tried some capture software that can
crops the input (RealNetworks Producer). The problem I have is that it
is only cropping the video image, not the black border. Since I see the
border in all V4L display type programs I wondered if there was an
insmod option I could use. I've read over the documentation in the
kernel source Documentation/video4linux/bttv/Insmod-Options. I don't
see anything like that. Am I out of luck?
One more question. Is there a way to set the input type as NTSC by
default instead of having to set all programs to use NTSC instead of
PAL which seems to come up as default most of the time. I can use
v4lctl to change it sometimes I guess, but wondered if that could be
set in the module loading stage...?
