Re: How to change the channel

I had tried to use motv, but still can not change channel.
motv can show the frequency in the control window, and I found that when I use arrow up/down to tune the frequency changed but the video image did not changed. The same situation by using xawtv.
My tv card is pinnacle PCTV rave. And I think if the tuner did not work well?

And other question. When I insert the module bttv, I use command "modprobe bttv ",do not specify the card and tuner type. Xawtv still can receive the only channel. Is it normal? I do not specify the card and tuner type, why can bttv receive signal?

Who can give me some information about it?

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest you switch to using motv if you can. The GUI is much
nicer. With the arrow up/down keys you can change stations. Left/right
arrows will fine tune. When you add stations you just use PgUP/PgDN to
move around.

I'd quit my motv session and bring up xawtv to remember how to do
it...but the Yankees/Marlins game is getting exciting.... :-)
