xine v4l, need help please

I am trying to use the v4l plugin for xine but there is no documentation on
it. I have searched everywhere for some answers.

I need to know how to specify the input for the MRL. eg. sh# xine
v4l://?????

If anyone has got it working, any help would be really appreciated.
