cx88 driver: freeze when read on /dev/video0

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I have tried Gerd's cx88 driver with my Hauppauge PCI
winTV and my system freezes when I try to read from
/dev/video0 (xawtv, or cat /dev/video0).

Kernel 2.4.20 patched with patch-2.4.20-kraxel

Here is what I could copy after a system freeze, after
running xawtv:
/dev/video0 [v4l]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
ioctl: VIDIOCGFBUF
(base=(nil),size=0x0,depth=0,bpl=0): Invalid argument
ioctl: VIDIOCGBUF (size=0, frames=0): Invalid argument
ioctl: VIDIOCGFREQ (8418848.625 MHz): Invalid argument

Here is more information:

Suggestion, anybody?

I am the unhappy owner of two currently not supported
TV cards (Pinnacle PCTVpro with unknown tuner,
Hauppauge winTV with the new Conexant cx88..) arrghhh.

Thanks for your help
Fred
