Teletext Subtitles and Video Saving

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

For research on Natural Language and Speech Recognition
I try to do the following:
	- get the teletext subtitles for death people
	  (in Netherlands this is page 888)
	- save the same TV-broadcasting as video file.

The result is that we can train our Speech Recognizer with
the teletext subtitles and also 'search' in the video file
using these subtitles.

When I do this 2 tasks on a TV-card using 'alevt-cap' for
Teletext-capture AND 'streamer or lavrec' for creating video
files I get errors. When I only capture teletext or capture
video I have no problems.

Is it possible to do these 2 tasks the same time? Or do I
need 2 TV-cards? Or are there other solutions?

I'm using Redhat 2.4.20. Xawtv 3.88. mjpegtools. TV-Card:
Hauppage PCI-TV.

Thanks,
