I've been trying to get my DC30 card to work, without much success.
Anyone here care to take a look at what I'm doing?
Whenever I try and insert the modules (modprobe zoran card=3) I get
these errors:-
May 15 00:08:49 firefly kernel: Linux video codec intermediate layer: v0.2
May 15 00:08:49 firefly kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: i2c bit algorithm module

I still get the full compliment of modules loaded, cat /proc/modules :-
zr36016 5344 1 (autoclean)
zr36050 8836 1 (autoclean)
adv7175 4988 1 (autoclean)

However when I run avview it gives this error:-
Device "DC30[0]" located at "/dev/video1" does not support any format
AVview understands.
And these errors in the log:-
May 15 00:09:45 firefly kernel: DC30[0]: zoran_open(avview, pid=[6677]),
users(-)=0
May 15 00:09:45 firefly kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: DC30[0] sendbytes: error

May 15 00:09:45 firefly kernel: DC30[0]: VIDIOCSPICT - Invalid palette 7
May 15 00:09:45 firefly kernel: DC30[0]: zoran_close(avview, pid=[6677])
I'm running Redhat 9, but with my own kernel (ver 2.4.20) from
kernel.org. I've patched it with:-
i2c 2.7.0, lm_sensors 2.7.0 and v4l2-api.
I'm using version 0.9.4 of the zoran drivers, and from the Gatos site
these drivers:-
ati.2 - 4.3.0-5, drm-kernel-1.100.0-5 and km-0.2.1.
The radeon card works fine through the v4l interface. However I'm
getting nothing from the DC30.
I read somewhere on a message board that there are some DC30's that
don't work yet. Is this true and if so, how can I tell if mine is one of
these?
Thanks in advance,
Arthur.
