Early help

I need a bit of help, but it's presales type. I want to add a video capture
card to my machine. Aside from beiing Linux supported, it needs to have
inputs for both composite and S-VHS, be capable of capturing full frame with
good (e.g. TV resolution), and be able to receive from both my VCR and
Laserdisc. I was looking at the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV because the
thought of saving a card slot by replacing my video card with a card that
does both is attractive - but I'm certainly not married to that device.

Could some of you make some suggestions about this or other devices that might
meet my needs? After I get the device, what should I be doing to get it
working under Linux? I'm a bit green in Linux - although I'm doing better
than I was a couple of months ago, so all handholding greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance ... I really do appreciate the help.
