Re: Sound recording

Hi Herman,

I use v4l2 as I have saa7134 based TV card (FlyVideo 3000 FM) as
there is no v4l1 driver for the card (as far as I know).

Well, I had hard time to get recording of sound working too (I
haven't used mencoder in fact, I've used xawtv recording
capability) but there were two main points:

1. The command v4lctl volume mute off.
2. Setting up mixer to capture from the right source.

After recording with xawtv I encoded recording with mencoder to some
DivX file. Of course, if you get mencoder working you'll do it in
one step.

I hope this info is of some use for you. Let me know then.

Best regards,
Ing. Jozef Sakalos
