Versions of saa7134 before 0.2.7 has audio unmuting problems with FV2K.
It should work in 0.2.7, otherwise try a later snapshot.

The poor sound output is strange. The board should not unmute until the
saa7134 module is loaded. Please provide output from dmesg for the saa7134
and related modules. BTW, make sure you're using the latest v4l2 patches
(you can build the v4l2 module only by using the v4l2-* package from the
snapshot directory).

What is your TV norm? (PAL, NTSC, etc). You can override the default tuner
by using tuner=N (N is an integer) as your modprobe or /etc/modules.conf
parameter, without having to change the definition in the source code.

In addition, you MUST build the saa7134 and v4l2 modules using the
same build tools (gcc, glibc) as the version you built your kernel with.
You should also build the modules while the correct kernel version is
running to avoid problems.
