Warren: The xawtv homepage is http://bytesex.org/xawtv/ If you forget this (I actually did), you can find it by using the http://www.google.com/ search engine. I just typed a couple of words 'xawtv' and 'gerd' because I knew that the writer of xawtv was Gerd Knorr and that his name is on the homepage. This theory worked fine. Also, as of Apr 16, 2003, there is an even newer version - 3.88 The 'v4l-conf' (note this is V 4 L (lower case) - Video For Linux). I did a 'find / -name v4l\* -print' and found lots of these files scattered around my disk. (pam ?). The latest version seems to have been installed by the 'configure, make, make install' process when I built xawtv 3.87. If you get the latest version of xawtv and build it, you should have a better TV For Linux experience. If not, email the list and probably Gerd will see your problem and fix the code. The RH updating service is always behind the bleeding edge. They have limited time to suck in new versions and prepare them for the update. Also, they may just like to wait to see if the most current version of something is broken.
