Thank you very much for your help.

I did the change you told me and the compile was OK.

Now the card is working and there is some sound, but it's very poor.  At the beginning I hed to install a sound mixer (KMix)
and Increasing the line-in volume I can hear some sound but it's very quiet.  Also when I try to mute sound from the xawtv's options
window, it doesn't work.

I was readind man v4lctl and it says (so I understood) we can cange the volume with the command:
    v4lctl volume <arg>

I used various numbers for <arg> but I had no results.  Also in the xawtv's option window there is not a choice to modify the
sound's volume.

Please do you have any idea about where can I find any doc related to this.
