Some more trouble with SAA7134

Hi everyone,

with the 0414-snapshot of SAA7134 I get some strange results on my Medion MD-9717.

First, when switching to a channel witout signal (i.e. offline VCR), xawtv reports loss of signal with pretty much the same message as when it looses irq, and the system crashes. It really crashes, I never had that with linux before, but this goes straight into a reboot. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing in /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog.

Secondly, when the error discussed in "saa7134 and EIO" and following occurs now, I can get the card back to work with reloading the module, however, xawtv appears to be slower then before. In fullscreen grabdisplay-mode, the picture seems to be only at about 8-10 fps, though cpu usage is at about 75 percent only. Overlay looks fine. I also suspect that the whole problem might be connected with xawtv's grabdisplay-mode, as I didn't yet have it, when runnig with overlay, but frequently with grabdisplay.

Hope that can help anybody working on SAA7134.

Thanks

Tjark
